Common questions
How do I get started?
Open Yesterglow and tap Connect, then sign in to your own Google account on Google's standard screen. Yesterglow asks only for read-only access to your mail, fetches your attachments to your iPhone, and starts building your memory timeline. You can also tap Browse sample memories to explore the app first, without connecting any account.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. Yesterglow runs entirely on your iPhone — it has no servers and no accounts, and your email never leaves your device. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
I can't connect my Gmail / I see "access blocked"
If Google blocks the sign-in, it usually means the account isn't yet authorized for the app during our verification period. Email us at support@yesterglow.app with the address you're trying to use and we'll sort it out. In the meantime, you can tap Browse sample memories to use the app with example data.
The first scan is slow, or it stopped partway
The first dig reads years of mail and downloads your attachments, so it can take a while — keep Yesterglow open and your iPhone plugged in for the fastest first pass. It always resumes exactly where it left off when you reopen the app. If it seems stuck, pull down to refresh, or fully close and reopen the app.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
All purchases are handled by Apple. Open your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose Yesterglow, and manage or cancel there. You can also reach this from within Yesterglow. Refunds are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I restore a purchase on a new device?
On the upgrade screen in Yesterglow, tap Restore Purchases. Your Yesterglow Forever or Yesterglow+ entitlement is tied to your Apple Account and will be restored.
How do I delete my data?
Because everything lives on your device, deleting the app deletes all of it — the database, your downloaded attachments, cached thumbnails, and your stored Google tokens. To keep the app but clear it, disconnect your account in the app's Settings. To revoke Yesterglow's access to Google entirely, visit Google's permissions page and choose Remove access.
Which devices are supported?
Yesterglow is an iPhone app and requires iOS 17 or later.
