Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Yesterglow app for iPhone ("Yesterglow," "the app," "we," "us"). By downloading or using Yesterglow, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Yesterglow is

Yesterglow connects to your own email account, with your permission, and turns the photos, videos, voice memos, documents, and other attachments in your mailbox into a private memory timeline. All processing happens on your iPhone. We run no servers, hold no accounts, and never receive your email or its contents. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Your account and your responsibilities

  • You may only connect email accounts you own or are authorized to use. You are responsible for your own Google (or other provider) account and for complying with that provider's terms.
  • Your use of Gmail through Yesterglow is also subject to Google's terms and policies. Yesterglow requests read-only access and never sends, deletes, or modifies your mail.
  • You are responsible for keeping your device and its passcode secure, since your downloaded memories live on your device.
  • You agree not to misuse the app: no reverse-engineering except as permitted by law, no attempting to break its sandboxing or security, and no use that violates applicable law.

Purchases, subscriptions, and free trials

Yesterglow is free to download and includes a free tier. Optional upgrades are available as in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple through the App Store:

  • Yesterglow+ (Monthly) — $4.99 per month, with a one-month free trial.
  • Yesterglow+ (Annual) — $39.99 per year, with a one-month free trial.
  • Yesterglow Forever (Lifetime) — $99.99, a one-time purchase, eligible for Family Sharing.

For auto-renewable subscriptions (Yesterglow+):

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription automatically renews at the same price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or from within Yesterglow.

Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region; Apple may adjust prices in accordance with the App Store rules, with notice where required. All purchases are processed by Apple, and Apple's terms, including its refund policy, apply to those transactions. Yesterglow does not process payments and does not store your payment information.

This app is licensed, not sold, to you. Your license is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Where these Terms and Apple's standard EULA conflict, Apple's standard EULA governs for App Store distribution.

Your content stays yours

Yesterglow claims no ownership of your email, attachments, memories, or anything the app organizes for you. It is your data, kept on your device. We never access it.

Disclaimers

Yesterglow is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will surface every memory in your mailbox. Memory detection, text recognition, and organization are best-effort and may be imperfect. Yesterglow is a tool for revisiting your own files; it is not a backup service — keep your own backups of anything important.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of Yesterglow will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Because Yesterglow holds none of your data and runs entirely on your device, you are responsible for your own device, your own backups, and your own email account.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted at https://www.yesterglow.app/terms with its effective date. Continuing to use Yesterglow after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
